1.
Millions ot tones that I've played couldn't tell you the way that I feel So I put them on my black black pages. The silent whisper of death that I hear sometimes when I'm through all have their settlements on my black black pages. Gallons ot tears and moments of joy couldn't wash away this ink I tried to complain and laughed out by force but the darkness would not shrink So I sit in my futurist cage like a bird that lost its way and sings a song written on my black black pages. I always aimed at the big I never felt well with the small Stories like this you can read on my black black pages
2.
Through these lenses I can see the world in such a different way in such a deeper way. Through your whole existence I can realize what I have missed so long, what held me down so long Ah ah But though I am happy oh it hurts It hurts so much. Born in bloody sheets wrapped in red towels love it hurts it hurts so much, we'll keep in touch. Some day in my life I had to decide where it will me to, where I should guide it through And at this point of no return You just smiled at me as my child to be Ah ah ah But though I am happy…
3.
red raincoat 03:54
I saw you there at the corner as you stood I found you incredibly beautiful as you stood In your red raincoat raincoat I made you an unheard proposal there on the trottoir You turned away watching the rain that turns into haze feeding our days with desire quenching the fire that lightens our ways When you left a second of sadness strenghtened my back tought me respect Maybe you appear someone else enobles that place with your red raincoat raincoat
4.
The premiere of a trick film festival Nobody there to be connected It was not too late when I went away anyway, I was too bored to be detected The ony real fascination I found on the poster walls The schemes of the photographer in the eyes of the super stars Oh, oh oh I like the light of the lantern that can't decide whether off or on It's the binary code of the night time long before the day will dawn A window stands open at the cellar of the house which is next to mine I always felt attracted to cellars, in cellars I always had a good time Oh oh oh The premiere of a trick film festival brought me these moments of delight Now that you know me secret pleasures You can publish them or overwrite

about

MEWS recorded false stars in 2 dead moon nights in 1992 in a room of the Erika Hotel on the notorious Favoriten-Straße; months of starving and playing behind them, they tried to put in all desperation and hope into these songs. Peter was writing the lyrics simultaneously to the music, or vice versa.
To fill up the instrumental gaps, they went to the (now abandoned) Studiokaputt where some musicians loitered in the shabby parlors; they gave them each 10 Schillings and very detailed instructions and it got recorded very quickly. Vienna was famous for its good and fast musicians at this time.

about

morgen es wird schoen Vienna, Austria

MEWS has been founded in 1988 by former art students and entrepreneurs Peter Obroni and Dirk E. Schaetzler. They started to perform as street-troubadours in Vienna, faces painted black&white. After many more or less successful gigs and one EP, they decided to sign over MEWS to a young musician – who was kindly asked not to unveil his identity. ... more
